Do you know any young person using social media to inspire positive change? If yes, then that youth deserves to be celebrated! Nominate the youth for the Positively Digital Campaign.
The Positively Digital Campaign is project run by Positive Youths Africa (PYA), Resources in flow and Digital Citizenship, Nigeria to identify and profile youths who are using social media and technology in a positive light. This campaign which is run as part of activities to mark the upcoming Digital Citizenship Summits in Cameroon and Nigeria would run from the 20th of July to the 1st of September, 2018. The public is hereby called to nominate responsible, positive and savvy users of social media and technology within the aforementioned period.
Criteria/ Points to Note When Nominating
-Nominees could be students, young adults male or female aged between the15 to 40 years.
-Nominees must be currently living in Nigeria or Cameroon.
-Nominees must be people who demonstrate positive use of social media and technology. They could be youths who post share messages of inclusion, encouragement, hope and appreciation of people, ideas and ideals on social media.
-Nominators must provide links to the works of their nominees’ on social media.
Self-nominations are allowed.
Benefits of the Positively Digital Campaign
-Shortlisted candidates will be profiled on our blogs as Positively Digital Youths.
-Shortlisted candidates shall be given free tickets to attend the Digital Citizenship Summit either in Nigeria or Cameroon. During these summits, candidates shall be drilled on safe, savvy, smart, responsible and positive use of social media and technology.
-Shortlisted candidates would have the opportunity to be nominated to win the Grand Prize of attending the Annual Digital Citizenship Summit in the United States as well as win other awards and prizes during the summit.
